Gen Z for Jesus

This summer, Grace Hill will be hosting two Jesus Club worship nights. These Jesus Clubs are student led clubs that aim to give every student on campus the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. The general flow of the events will consist of a music team playing through a setlist of worship songs to guide students through a time to meet with Jesus and worship together, leaving room for any prayer or moments the Lord leads in spontaneous worship. This will be a night to sing and praise our Savior. The intent is to provide space and time for students to lean into the Lord, while other Christians will be available for students to receive prayer and opportunity to be cared for however the Spirit leads.

Saturday, July 18th | 6-8pm

Saturday, August 8th | 6-8pm

For anyone at Grace Hill who is interested in being a part of this worship night, you are welcome and encouraged to participate. Come to worship, pray, and be sensitive to how the Lord leads you throughout the evening to care for the youth of Lake Country.

Please continue to pray for more students to come and hear the Good News. Pray for revival. Pray for the Spirit to be moving at the Jesus Clubs next year. Pray for the Jesus Club rally this July and August. Pray that lives would be changed and people would give their lives to Christ.

Before You Use A.I.

“For $1.99 a minute, you can now pray with an AI Jesus. It’ll quote Scripture. It’ll sound compassionate. It’ll remember your name. But it’ll never know you, and it’ll never be able to give you what only the real Jesus can. Because wisdom has never come from under the sun. It has always, and only, come from above it.” - Darin White

Before You Use AI, Read Ecclesiastes

The Gospel Coalition recently published the article, “Before You Use AI, Read Ecclesiastes.” The author explores the current trends that intersect between Christian culture and the use of AI. The article is a relevant supplement in light of our current study through Ecclesiastes.

What’s So Great?

Do Christians choose to have faith, or is faith a supernatural work of God? Far from an abstract intellectual exercise, this question has vast implications for the hope, joy, and assurance of the Christian life. When the truth of God’s sovereign grace breaks into our minds and hearts, it changes everything.

It’s All About Grace

In his book, What’s So Great About The Doctrines of Grace? author Richard Phillips takes us on a tour of the doctrines of grace, also known as the five points of Calvinism. With clear biblical exposition, he helps us to see the extent of our corruption in sin, to anchor our faith in the fullness of grace, and to trust in God’s promise to finish what He started—the salvation of His people. When we rely on God’s all-sufficient grace, we can truly live for His all-consuming glory.

What’s So Great About The Doctrines of Grace? - Richard Phillips

You can order Phillip’s book online, or swing by the church bookstore and grab a copy. Find a friend or someone from church to read through the book together and share what you are learning. Or better yet, come join us at 8:30am on Saturday, June 30th at the Mill St. Cafe to discuss the book together.

Participation Trophies

Congratulations! You all get a participation certificate in this life! Every single one of us who has ever lived will one day receive a certificate of death. Though this is sobering, and quite possibly not the certificate you were hoping for - it is yours. No one will be excluded. This is equality at its finest.

The Pursuit of Wisdom will not Prevent your Death, but it will keep you Alive.

For those who believe in Jesus there is life forevermore. The God man came to this earth, to live “under the sun” as a man. In God’s perfect wisdom he came, not to avoid death, but with the intent to die. And through His humiliating death the unimaginable happened - He conquered death and rose from the grave fully alive!

Jesus is Alive!

Though we will all truly die, few of us will ever truly be alive. In Christ, we receive the greatest reward imaginable through faith in Him. We are inheritors with Jesus. We are participants with the Son. And what we are given is the most wonderful gift - the gift of eternal life!

Know, And Be Known

The local church: A place where your pastors are more than just a voice you hear from a distant stage. A place where you can call or text your pastors at any hour. A place where you can share meals in member’s homes and engage in life-changing living room discussions. A place were everyone knows your name. A place to know Christ and to be known by Him.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

John 10:27

Come know and be known. A local church is where you know your pastors, and your pastors know you. One relational mark of our Chief Shepherd, Jesus, was that his sheep not only knew his voice but that their shepherd knew them. We expect nothing less for our local church, than to follow the model of Jesus.

Come Know & Be Known

The local church is a place where men and women know one another, exhort one another, care for one another, and love one another. Many of the commands given throughout Scripture are nearly impossible to fulfill if we simply do not know one another. So we make it our ambition to know and be known.
